"SPECIAL STUDENTS ALSO NEED ART"

Selçuk University Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory Assistant Director Assist. Assist. Prof. Dr. Nuran Ayaz said, "As Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory, we bring together our students and students with special student status at certain periods within the scope of social responsibility project. We can do theatrical or musical activities. Today, we wanted to bring the children's play "Fırfır ile Gırgır" (Frill and Gırgır) about hygiene education together with Yuvam Special Education and Rehabilitation Center. We organize such events, which are very important for our students to grow on stage, in 15-day or monthly periods. Special students also need art. We need to put our hands under the stone for them to go out."

"OUR PRIMARY GOAL IS TO IMPROVE THE SOCIAL SKILLS OF OUR STUDENTS"

Nesibe Öztaş, Director of Yuvam Special Education and Rehabilitation Center, said, "Our primary goal in special education is to improve the social skills of our students. One of the most important factors for this is their participation in social environments. It is very important that Selçuk University Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory offers us such an opportunity. We have students and their families watching theater for the first time. Such activities make a great contribution to the development of expressive language skills, visual and auditory perception."
