Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture organized a workshop titled "Digital Transformation in Agriculture - Digital Livestock". In the workshop where topics such as digitalization, productivity and quality increase were discussed, 9 papers were presented.

Prof. Dr. Tamer Marakoğlu, Head of the Department of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering, who made the opening speech of the workshop held at the Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center, said: "Topics such as environmental pollution, resource insufficiency, nature's self-renewal power have become much more evident with the pandemic. The pandemic has paved the way for an increase in the search for natural and organic food and a change in people's view of industrial products."

Reminding that YÖK declared Selçuk University as a university specializing in digital technologies in agriculture, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Sait Gezgin said, "Genocide is taking place in front of the eyes of the whole world. If the target of this genocide is Turkey, we need to catch up with technology in agriculture and other sectors. We need to stand on our feet. As agriculturalists, we need to turn to output-oriented research that will bring innovation to innovation."

After the opening speeches, the workshop started. In the workshop; The Importance of Periodic Testing of Milking Machines and Facilities and Test Report, Development of a Practical Data Management System with Embedded Sensors for Better Environmental Management and Transparency of Dairy Farming, Management of Disease Diagnosis and Reproduction Processes in Dairy Cattle, Electronic Animal Tracking System, Presentations were made on Developments in Milk Meter Technology in Milking Systems, Allfle Herd Management System New Generation Farm Management System, Digital Developments in Dairy Farming, Use of Automation in Agriculture and Livestock, Electric Self-Propelled Feed Mixing and Distributing Machine and GPS Controlled Solid Barn Fertilizer Distributing Machine.
