The program titled "From Turkmeneli to Anatolia" organized within the scope of "Spring Festivals" at Selçuk University was held with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy. In the program, Iraqi Turkmen Front Kirkuk Deputy Erşat Salihi made a speech and TRT Voice Artist Ahmet Tuzlu gave a concert.

Delivering the opening speech of the program "From Turkmeneli to Anatolia" held at Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said: "Our Turkmen brothers and sisters in Iraq should know that we have never forgotten that these lands are your homeland, your homeland, and we will not let the generations that will come after us forget it. The children of our homeland, which we have always protected, are studying at Selçuk University today. We have never seen them as foreign nationals. We saw them as our own children. Selçuk University is a university that carries the name of Seljuk, keeps its identity, history and Turkish Islamic ideals alive. We strive to raise young people who protect spiritual values and know their identity and history. We are not an educational institution that distances itself from society. Those who tried to destroy the Turkish identity have always failed. Because there is a strong bond of brotherhood in this geography. This bond will never be broken.

"THE TURKISH WORLD IS AND ALWAYS WILL BE"

Emphasizing that Turks and Turkmen are never alone, Iraqi Turkmen Front Kirkuk Deputy Erşat Salihi said, "Greetings to the whole Turkmeneli region. May the Turkish world continue. We have never felt alone, because we have elders behind us who ask for us. The Turkish world is eternal and will remain eternal. More than a thousand Iraqi students are studying at Selçuk University. No one abandoned us as claimed in the propaganda. We are a nation that does not accept surrender despite the difficulties. Iraqi Turks did not lose their Turkish language and did not abandon their land in the face of the policies they were subjected to. Education is very important to continue our existence. Our students studying here, Iraq is waiting for you! Turkmenelia is waiting for you!"

After the speech of Mehmet Tütüncü, former Iraqi Turkmen Front Turkey Representative, and the recitation of poems about the Turkish brotherhood by the students, TRT Voice Artist Ahmet Tuzlu gave a concert.

Selçuk University Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, Nationalist Movement Party MYK Member Güzide Çipan, President of Turkmeneli Federation of Associations Prof. Dr. Aydın Beyatlı, academicians and students attended the program titled "From Turkmeneli to Anatolia".

The Iraqi Turkmeneli delegation visited Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy in his office and watched the performances organized by the student communities in front of Keykubad Mansion.
