Selçuk University Faculty of Health Sciences Nasreddin Hoca Practice Kindergarten students celebrated April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day with enthusiasm.

The program held at Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center started with the opening of the design exhibition titled "Don't Throw, Transform" prepared by kindergarten students.

Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. attended the program. Dr. İlhan Çiftci, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emine Arslan, Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Semahat Küçükkolbaşı, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Prof. Dr. Nurgül Kılınç, Director of Vocational School of Health Services, Prof. Dr. Gülşin Arslan, faculty members, teachers, kindergarten students and parents attended.

Kindergarten Manager, Teacher Türkan Yiğit Kolçak, in her speech at the opening of the program, said that they were proud and excited to celebrate April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day.

Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, Prof. Dr. Emine Arslan stated that April 23 National Sovereignty and Children's Day is the greatest indicator of the value the Turkish nation attaches to its children. Arslan said, "The fact that Atatürk gifted the opening day of the Turkish Grand National Assembly as a holiday to children is the most important sign that a great mission has been assigned to our children." said.

Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci stated that they were at peace to see everyone happy on April 23. Prof. noted that National Sovereignty and Children's Day is celebrated in Turkey as a holiday dedicated only to children in the world. Dr. Çiftci said, “April 23 is a great gift and we are grateful to those who gave this gift. We also opened an exhibition titled "Let's not throw away waste, let's recycle it." I was very pleased after seeing what our children, to whom we entrusted our future, did. I can clearly state the necessity of looking to the future with more hope. “I would like to thank those who contributed to the organization of the program.” he said.

Then the kindergarten students presented a dance show accompanied by the songs "My Homeland", "Türkiye" and "Günaydın Çocuk". Within the framework of the program where the competitions were held, the children sang English nursery rhymes after the Fire of Anatolia show.
