University-Industry Cooperation Protocol was signed between Selçuk University and Proton Piston San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. The protocol will contribute to the development of vocational training as well as enabling Selçuk University Faculty of Technology students to do internship at Proton Piston.

Within the scope of the protocol, project studies, university - industry cooperation, activities such as career day and consultancy activities are also included.

Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said in his speech that the University is the locomotive of the region in terms of education. Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that they have given approximately 400 thousand graduates since its establishment and said, "We are growing with our graduates. Our graduates are an indicator of our education quality. In this sense, as of today, Selçuk University has become a growing plane tree. It is one of the strongest educational institutions in the region with its many faculties, vocational schools, colleges, institutes and conservatories. Not only education but also service to the society is one of our important elements. We care that our graduates are trained at international level and according to international notions. We are in an effort to somehow bring students who can train, know and use the practice and theory together with the society in the field."

Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that there are application areas and laboratories in many units within Selçuk University. Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that the Faculty of Technology is also valuable for them in this sense and said, "Our students came from many points in Türkiye and preferred our Faculty of Technology with high scores. We aim to train our students well in line with the needs of the country. Today, Proton Piston is one of the favorite organizations of Konya industry. I hope that our protocol will contribute to both units within the scope of community - university - industry cooperation, as well as a productive cooperation process with our Proton Piston company. It is a happy situation for us to come to this point. I wish our protocol to be auspicious and auspicious for both parties and thank you."

Proton Piston San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. General Manager Ali Sakallı also stated that they came together within the scope of university-industry cooperation. Thanking those who contributed to the organization of the protocol, Sakallı said, "I would like to thank our professors. We would also like to thank the Rector for providing us with this opportunity. As Proton Piston Industry Trade Limited Company, we will provide internship and work opportunities to our students at the university with our well-developed staff and team within the framework of laws and regulations with our management approach open to communication and sharing. Our aim is to bring good engineers to Turkey and to ensure that our country reaches certain points. We want our young people and Turkey to have a say in every field, in every sector, from the defense industry to the machinery industry, from the automotive industry to the agricultural industry in the world."

Following the speeches, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy and Proton Piston San. ve Tic. Ltd. Şti. General Manager Ali Sakallı signed the University-Industry Cooperation Protocol.

Selçuk University Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken, Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, Dean of the Faculty of Technology Prof. Dr. Şakir Taşdemir, Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. İlker Ali Özkan, Faculty of Technology Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Murat Ciniviz attended the protocol ceremony.
