Those who contributed to the establishment of the Institute of Seljuk Studies at Selçuk University were not forgotten. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken also attended the program where the addition of two new languages was announced.

Delivering the opening speech of the program, Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken said, "I would like to thank the Uzluk family who pioneered the establishment of the center with their wills and everyone who contributed to the process from its establishment to becoming an institute. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Hacıgökmen, Director of the Institute of Seljuk Studies, encouraged us to become an institute by showing intense efforts and efforts. We need to emphasize the importance of the Institute of Seljuk Studies in terms of being the first and only institute opened in Turkey on Seljuk history. The establishment of this institute in Konya, the capital of the Seljuk State of Turkey, especially in Selçuk University is a source of pride for us."

"LATIN AND GREEK LANGUAGES WILL ALSO BE TAUGHT"

Institute Director Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Hacıgökmen said in his speech: "We have tried to carry the flag we took over forward with the transformation of the institution into an institute. We will carry it even further with new activities to be carried out. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this process. In the master's program opened within the Institute of Seljuk Studies, students are taught Persian and Arabic languages, and soon Latin and Greek languages will be taught."

Prof. Dr. Yusuf Küçükdağ, who served as the head of the Center for Seljuk Studies between 2004-2012, said, "The Center for Seljuk Studies has become what it is with the will of the Uzluk family, one of the deep-rooted families of Konya." Prof. Dr. Yaşar Erdemir expressed his happiness for the establishment of the Institute of Seljuk Studies and emphasized the importance of the contributions of the activities to be carried out to Seljuk history and science.
