TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal visited Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy. Prof. Dr. Mandal got information about the vaccine studies carried out at the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal first met with Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy. During the visit, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci, Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Director of Selçuk University Vaccine Development Application and Research Center Prof. Dr. Osman Erganiş and Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Genetics Faculty Member Assoc. Dr. Nadir Koçak accompanied him.

Afterwards, President of TÜBİTAK Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, who visited Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine together with Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy and the administration, examined the laboratories where the mRNA Covid-19 Vaccine Development Project is carried out and received information about the project from Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nadir Koçak.

Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal, who also visited the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, was informed about the Inactivated Covid-19 Vaccine Development Project, which was prepared under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Osman Erganiş, who received approval from the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency for Phase-1 clinical study and started to be implemented in Ankara City Hospital.
