Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy hosted the Arabic Debate Team of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, which ranked first in Turkey in the "Arabic Debate Competition". Prof. Dr. Aksoy presented a certificate of appreciation to the students who will represent Turkey in the "International Debate Competition" in Qatar.

Selçuk University Arabic Language and Literature Department Arabic Debate Team won the first place in the Turkish Inter-University Arabic Debate Competition organized by Qatar Debate (Qatar Debate Center) and Fatih Sultan Mehmet Foundation University in Istanbul between December 20-28. Aziz Demir, Büşra el-Kileni, Huriye Songur and Sami Açış, students of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature, who will represent Turkey in the "International Debate Competition" to be held in Qatar, were invited by the Dean of the Faculty of Letters Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Hacıgökmen, Head of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature Prof. Dr. Ahmet Kâzım Ürün, Lecturers of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature Research Assistants. Assist. Prof. Dr. Rıfat Işık and Assist. Assist. Prof. Dr. Yusuf Bildik visited Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.
