The painting exhibition themed ‘Heroes of the Century of Türkiye’, prepared by Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts Sculpture Department Lecturer Prof. Dr. Oğuz Yurttadur within the scope of July 15 Democracy and National Unity Day, was presented to art lovers.

At the opening of the exhibition, Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Atıf Polat thanked both Prof. Dr. Oğuz Yurttadur who prepared the painting exhibition themed ‘Heroes of the Century of Türkiye’ and the participants and wished the exhibition to be beneficial.

Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts Sculpture Department Lecturer Prof. Dr. Oğuz Yurttadur also said that July 15 is an important day for the Turkish nation and state. Stating that he painted his works after the coup attempt, Yurttadur noted that his paintings are about the heroes who became immortal in the hearts of the Turkish nation with the courage and sacrifice shown during the coup attempt. Yurttadur added that the works he prepared were presented to visitors for the first time today.

The exhibition, which includes 13 works, can be visited at Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts Art Gallery until August 14, 2023.
