Veterinary Research Career Academy (VAKA) Community founded by Selcuk University Veterinary Faculty students, President Ahmet İçigen, Vice President Vakkas Özmen, Secretary Aytuğ Turan, Promotion Media Manager Gülce Kırbaş and Academic Advisor Prof. Dr. Hasan Güzelbekteş visited Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.

10 ACTIVITIES WERE ORGANIZED IN ONE YEAR

Prof. Dr. Hasan Güzelbekteş, Academic Advisor of Veterinary Research Career Academy (VAKA) Community, said: “It has been about a year since our group was established. This community is a community that aims to engage in various activities to ensure the integration of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine with the field and focuses entirely on professional issues. Our group carried out 10 activities in one year.”

Group President Ahmet İçigen said: “We were aware that we would get much better results if we carried out the trainings we received at the faculty in an integrated manner with the field. We established our community for this purpose. We aim to organize technical trips and receive training at our faculty from experts in their fields.”

“OUR STUDENTS’ PROJECTS ARE VERY VALUABLE TO US”

Stating that they support the students’ work, Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, on the other hand, used the following statements: “The projects of our students are very valuable to us. The student societies are all very dynamic. Veterinary medicine is not only limited to the courses taken at school, it also requires practice in the field. A person who does not know the field cannot be a good veterinarian.You study at the strongest Veterinary Faculty. This is really important. Our Veterinary Faculty is also the pioneer of the studies carried out by Selcuk University. Our academics, who contribute to vaccination studies and perform successful surgeries in surgery, are cited as references in Turkey and in the world. These successes are proof of the quality of education you have received and the knowledge you have accumulated.”
