On January 3, 2025, the "Fighting Addiction" event, organized by the Çekirgeler Nature and Culture Science Community, was successfully held at the Faculty of Science at Selçuk University. Psychologist Mustafa Alperen AVCI and Social Worker Cemre ÖZTÜRK participated as speakers.

The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Prof. Dr. Mustafa ŞAHİN, faculty members from the Department of Biochemistry, and students from the Faculty of Science. This event aimed to raise awareness about addiction, informing participants about the individual and societal impacts of addiction.
