Another international design award for Selçuk!

Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Industrial Design Student Murat Yasir Dilek won first place in the Food & Beverage Category at the “Pro Carton Young Designers Award 2024” with his packaging design named “Bridge”. Our student and project advisor Dr. Lect. Prof. Dr. Seda Duman Köylü received his award at the organization held in Germany / Berlin on September 19, 2024. On September 20, he presented his project to Europe's leading packaging and retail sector investors.

Organized by the “European Association of Carton and Cartonboard Manufacturers”, of which your country is a member, Pro Carton Young Designers Award is Europe's leading young talent competition in packaging design. Focusing exclusively on cartons, the competition plays a leading role in promoting sustainable packaging and innovation among students across Europe. This year's competition attracted nearly 900 designs from schools across Europe.

We congratulate our student Murat Yasir Dilek and his project advisor Seda Duman Köylü for this success. This award was the 87th award received by the students and academicians of Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts Department of Industrial Design from design competitions.

METU students received the award in the public voting category. Cardboard Packaging Industry Association represented our country at the congress held simultaneously in Berlin. In 2025, the award ceremony of the competition will be held in Turkey.
