Storyboard Design Course Student Projects Exhibition

Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Uğur Atan, the “Storyboard Design Course Student Projects Exhibition” prepared by our second-year students within the scope of the Storyboard Design course, will be held on May 11, 2026, at 1:00 PM in the exhibition area of our Animation Department.
This exhibition, featuring the works produced by the students of the Department of Animation and Cartoon in the Storyboard Design course, presents a unique selection that brings together narrative design and visual thinking processes. The exhibition includes storyboard projects developed by 22 students based on different fictional story structures.
Prepared by the students using various traditional painting techniques, these works have also been processed through digital visualization methods, demonstrating the combined use of analog and digital production disciplines. In this way, the exhibition reflects a holistic representation of idea development, scene planning, visual storytelling, and digital production processes.
The event offers professionals working in the animation and visual storytelling industry, as well as industry observers, the opportunity to examine the production practices of young talents, while also providing prospective students with a closer understanding of the department’s educational approach. At the same time, it creates a creative sharing environment for faculty students where they can observe interdisciplinary production processes.
Aiming to make visible that storyboard production is not merely a technical stage, but also a fundamental creative process in terms of narrative, aesthetics, and visual communication, this exhibition brings together the artistic and professional development of students with its audience.
