A technical visit was made to Çatalhöyük

Within the scope of the 'City Workshop' hand and cooperation protocol organized between Selçuk University and Konya Metropolitan Municipality, a technical trip was organized to Çumra and Çatalhöyük on May 03, 2024 in order to examine the historical environment and structures within the scope of the RESTORATION, SCULPTURE AND SPACE II and CONSERVATION REPAIR II courses conducted by Prof. Dr. Özlem Karakul Türk.

As part of the trip, students examined historical structures and the Çatalhöyük archaeological site and carried out studies on the documentation of historical structures. The aim of the trip is to ensure that the students of the Faculty of Fine Arts develop awareness about the values ​​and protection of the World Heritage Çatalhöyük with historical environments and structures. Support was received from the Konya Metropolitan Municipality Building Control Department Urban Aesthetics Branch Directorate regarding the organization and transportation of the technical trip organized within the scope of the specified protocol.

The technical trip was attended by the faculty members of the Faculty of Fine Arts Sculpture Department, Prof. Dr. Özlem Karakul Türk and Prof. Dr. Oğuz Yurttadur, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Building Control Department, City Aesthetics Branch Directorate Mustafa Yasin Karakoyun and our faculty and department students participated.
