To become a leading and internationally recognized research center in the field of plant breeding and seed technologies by integrating scientific research, innovative technologies, and highly qualified human resources; fostering strong national and international collaborations; and contributing to sustainable agriculture, the development of new and superior crop varieties, and the production of high-quality seeds.

Mission

Our mission is to conduct scientific research using both conventional and modern approaches in plant breeding and seed technologies, contribute to the development and adaptation of new, high-quality crop varieties, and strengthen research and analytical infrastructure for seed production and certification. The Center also aims to generate scientific knowledge and innovative technologies through national and international research projects and collaborations.

In addition, the Center is committed to supporting researchers and plant breeders, contributing to the training of qualified human resources and postgraduate education, strengthening cooperation among the public sector, universities, private sector, and producers, and transferring scientific knowledge and technologies into agricultural practice, thereby contributing to the sustainable development of Türkiye’s plant breeding and seed sector.
