SU's electric vehicle met with the automotive industry

Selcuk University Technology Faculty opened a booth at the 6th OSEG (Future of the International Automotive Sector) Conference organized by Konya Chamber of Industry (KSO). The electric vehicle named “Alparslan”, prepared by MYS Sancak Team, became the focus of attention of the participants.

 

The 6th of the OSEG (Future of the International Automotive Industry) Conferences, which has been organized every two years since 2010 by the Konya Chamber of Industry, was held at the Selçuklu Congress Center. To the conference; Industry representatives and panelists from 13 countries such as Germany, Belarus, Belgium, Algeria, Czechia, Morocco, France, Iran, Macedonia, Poland, Romania, Egypt and Tunisia attended. Selcuk University Faculty of Technology also opened a booth at the OSEG conference where topics such as developments in the automotive sector, the effects of green transformation on the sector, the mobility ecosystem, and the new normal supply chain were discussed. The electric vehicle named "Alparslan", which was prepared by MYS Sancak Team and won the visual design award at TEKNOFEST, met with industry representatives, scientists and citizens.

Selcuk University Faculty of Technology Dean Prof. Dr. Şakir Taşdemir said, “The 6th of the International Conferences on the Future of the Automotive Industry will make significant contributions to Konya and our region. Selcuk University acts within the framework of university-industry cooperation. Our faculty, within the framework of the goals set by rector, Prof. Dr.  Metin Aksoy, continues education in the automotive sector at undergraduate and graduate levels, and trains young engineers for the automotive sector. Our students are working on hydrogen fueled cars, especially electric cars, within the framework of the vision of domestic and national industry and Turkey.”

MYS Starboard Team Consultant Dr. Instructor Member Hakan Terzioğlu, on the other hand, was awarded the visual design award for the electric vehicle named "Alparslan", prepared by our MYS Sancak Team, which participated in TEKNOFEST in the electro mobile category. Congratulations to our students. We would like to thank our Rector, who did not leave us alone in the difficult process, Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, our Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Şakir Taşdemir. Our students have always worked with a focus on success. We are happy to support the national technology move initiated by our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan with such projects. We want our students to have a say in the future of our country. In this context, we support all competitions such as TEKNOFEST. It is very important for us to take part in the 6th of the International Conferences on the Future of the Automotive Industry, on behalf of Selçuk University, with our own vehicle. In the automotive industry, electric vehicles are the technology of the future. Here we had the opportunity to meet with the representatives of the sector. Success will come faster when universities act together with industry. Developments in national and domestic technology will only be realized in this way. That's why we took our place in this organization. We have made the necessary negotiations.”
