Orientation Program started at Selcuk University

Students who have just started their university education at Selçuk University came together in the Orientation Program. On the first day of the 2-day orientation, folk dance performances, music concerts, gift presentations, sports events, competitions and stage activities were held.

The program held in front of Keykubad Mansion was attended by Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, Konya Labor and Employment Agency Provincial Director Emrah Keleş, deans, school and vocational school principals, lecturers, representatives of public institutions and organizations, students attended.

The program started with the show of the Anatolian Caucasian Eagles Ensemble. Afterwards, Selcuk University Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk gave a speech about the Orientation program. Prof. Dr. Beşoluk said that Selçuk University is among the largest higher education institutions in Turkey with more than 68 thousand students and 7 thousand academic and administrative staff. Stating that the area in Alaeddin Keykubat Campus is mostly covered with green, Prof. Dr. Beşoluk stated that many facilities, especially dormitory, hospital, shopping mall, stadium, olympic swimming pool, equestrian facility and parking areas, are available to students. Prof. Dr. Beşoluk thanked those who contributed to the organization of the Orientation Program.

After the speech, Selçuk University Student Council President Alper Selçuk presented a gift to Burak Afşin, the first student to register at Selçuk University this term. Afterwards, a certificate of appreciation was presented to the institutions and organizations that contributed and supported the organization of the program. The program continued with the concert of Selçuk University Music Ensemble. Protocol members also visited the stands opened by public institutions and organizations and student societies.

Students will also be able to get information about the subjects they are curious about by visiting the stands of the Registrar's Office, the Department of Information Processing, the Department of Health, Culture and Sports as part of the Orientation Program.

The Orientation Program, which will end on September 29, 2022, includes Konya Youth and Sports Provincial Directorate Young Office Music Concert, sports events, competitions and a concert by Selçuk University Music Ensemble.
