IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE LEARN RELIGION FROM THE RIGHT RESOURCES
the General Director of Religious Education of the Ministry of National Education, Mehmet Nezir Gül stated that for a Muslim, there is an education and training process from the cradle to the grave and added that “If we do what we do for the sake of Allah, we get their rewards.” He stated that:
Religion is the most natural need for humans. There is no subject that does not fall within the realm of religion. The Qur'an and Hadith-i-Sharifs reveal basic principles for us. Within the framework of those principles, people try to shape their life and spiritual structure. It is very important that we learn about religion from the right sources. We will not try to impose our own understanding of religion by competing the verses while describing religion. It is very important that we have a healthy understanding of religion, that we are fed from the right sources, that we assimilate the resources we are fed in the best way and transfer them to the people around us.
WE NEED TO BE EQUIPPED FOR THE DIGITAL WORLD NOW
Mehmet Nezir Gül said:
“We must hold a high level of responsibility and protection regarding religion. We should not consider employment as just getting a job. We also need to interpret our religious platforms in terms of taking a role in education for the people around us, fulfilling the necessities of our work, and serving. We follow the agenda, it is very important for us. We will not be lost in the agenda, we will definitely not break away from the agenda. We follow our plans for showings, we follow the educational technologies, which are a lot for us. We need to be quipped for digital education now. We must follow the agenda, events related to Islam will be in our time. Our language should be clean, clear and transparent. Our definition of religion also needs to be very clean.”
