Cooperation between Selcuk University and Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education

“Cooperation Protocol for the Development of Education and Training” was signed between Selçuk University and Konya Provincial Directorate of National Education. With the training to be given within the scope of the protocol, it is aimed to produce according to the technique in the gardens of high schools that have agricultural fields, especially high schools that provide vocational and technical education.

With the protocol, under the leadership of Selçuk University-Agriculture Faculty, trainings on agricultural activities and sustainable social life will be given to students and teachers in educational institutions affiliated to the Provincial Directorate of National Education.

It is aimed to organize meetings such as panels, symposiums and workshops that will contribute to social development in the protocol, in which it is aimed to make joint production and planting in accordance with the technique, especially in the gardens of schools that provide vocational and technical education, which have agricultural areas.

The protocol also includes informing students about the university education system and life, and giving information about their university and department preferences.

Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. In his speech at the protocol ceremony, Metin Aksoy stated that two eminent institutions of Konya came together in a valuable protocol ceremony and said, “We have taken our cooperation a few steps forward in the field of education and signed an important protocol. With this study, it is valuable for us to share information both in our schools and in our university. The protocol we signed will include agriculture, landscape works, joint symposium, joint congress and various training programs. With this protocol, we will carry out important works with our Provincial Directorate of National Education. It is important for us to raise future generations stronger and to make information sharing more effective between both institutions. I would like to thank the Konya Provincial Director of National Education, the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and his team for their support and contributions. I wish our protocol to be good.”

Konya Provincial Director of National Education Murat Yiğit said, “Agriculture has recently been on the agenda of our Ministry of National Education. We have agricultural high schools. We also have agricultural high schools in Konya. Dear Dean visited us in the days when we started his duty. We had discussions about making a joint study. Since the subject is also on our agenda, we started our work to prepare the protocol. Then I also visited the faculty. It is very important to combine the opportunities of our faculty with those of our high schools, and to raise awareness of our children and teachers in the field of agriculture in all our schools. Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy and Konya Provincial Director of National Education Murat Yiğit signed the protocol text after the speeches.

The protocol signing ceremony was attended by Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture Dean Prof. Dr. Zeki Bayramoğlu, Deputy Provincial Director of National Education Mustafa Yılmaz, and Provincial Directorate of National Education Branch Manager Nizamettin Doğan were also accompanied.
