BREAST CANCER AWARENESS PROGRAM AT SELCUK UNIVERSITY

Selcuk University-Faculty of Medicine-Department of General Surgery Lecturer Prof. Dr. Hande Köksal made a presentation to contribute to raising awareness about breast cancer.

Within the scope of "Breast Cancer Awareness Month", informative and awareness-raising programs were held for 3 days at Kutalmışoğlu Süleyman Şah Foundations.

In this context, Prof. Dr. Hande Köksal made statements about the importance of preventing cancer, the disease of the age. Providing information on early diagnosis and diagnosis in breast cancer, symptoms of the disease, risk factors, genetic predisposition and hormonal effects, Prof. Dr. Köksal stated that early diagnosis of breast cancer increases the success rate in treatment.

prof. Dr. Köksal mentioned that periodic manual examinations should be carried out without neglecting and a physician should be consulted for suspicious findings that occur with this method.
