Study methods in law were explained at Selcuk University

Anadolu University Instructor Member Tamer Bozkurt of Faculty of Law met the students of the Faculty of Law at the conference titled "Study Methods and Methodology in Law" organized within the scope of Selçuk University Faculty of Law Activities.

Dr. Instructor Member Tamer Bozkurt said at the conference held in the conference hall of the faculty that students who graduated from high school had difficulty getting used to the discipline of law. Stating that he has been working on this issue, Dr. Instructor Member Bozkurt said that law faculty students should first start to discipline their lives. Explaining the importance of participating in formal education, Bozkurt said, “It is very important to follow the classes regularly. Is it ok if I don't come to class? No. University life is a life lived actively. Law school is not like distance education. Your teachers do not only teach a positive law. They share their life experiences that go beyond that with you. Sometimes they may tell you about the events they experienced, sometimes it may be an experience in a file where he or she was appointed as an expert, or it may be an event that he or she wrote an opinion about, or a problem in a case if he is a lawyer, or their relationships. You are forming without realizing it. In this sense, formal education is very valuable.”

Bozkurt stated that law is a culture and emphasizes the value of approaching the field from different perspectives. Giving information about career planning, Dr. Instructor Member Bozkurt expressed the importance of mastering basic courses such as Roman law, civil law, law of obligations, constitutional law, administrative law and criminal law.

The conference ended with the presentation of a plaque to Faculty Member Dr. Tamer Bozkurt by the Dean of the Faculty of Law Prof. Dr. Haluk Hadi Sumer.
