Academic Board Meeting was held at SU Faculty of Science

2022-2023 Academic Year Academic Board Meeting of Selcuk University Faculty of Science was held with the participation of Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy. In the program, the project of the year and the most successful faculty members and instructors of the year were presented with awards.

2022-2023 Academic Year Academic Board Meeting of the Faculty of Science was held at Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center. Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, Dean of the Faculty Prof. Dr. Semahat Küçükkolbaşı, vice deans, department heads and academicians attended.

Stating that the achievements of the Faculty of Science, which has an exceptional position in Turkey, are very valuable, Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said, “We believe that the University, which has risen with the basic sciences, will move forward in a stronger way into the future in the next period. We are very lucky to have such a Faculty. Our academics have also achieved success in the international arena with their projects. We see that our academicians are in a race to take part in scientific studies, international projects, in environments where the science and knowledge that makes a university a true university is discussed. This academic staff makes us stronger. It is conducive to the involvement of more of our academics in international studies.”

Expressing that they dream of a university which has proven itself in Turkey and whose studies are accepted in the international arena, Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, “We believe that any kind of work that values ​​science will lead Selçuk University to success. We have to train our students much better. Our academics must update themselves in order to raise the next generations in a strong way. We should devote our time to scientific studies and academic discussions. As Selcuk University, we need younger generations and academics with different perspectives. Different perspectives are not threats, but values ​​that make us who we are. We protect the rights of the university. Our goal is to raise the name of Selçuk University higher. We will entrust the flag to our youth. Their good upbringing is in the hands of academics.”

After Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Semahat Küçükkolbaşı's presentation on the studies carried out, awards were given to a lecturer and a faculty member for each department according to the scoring made by considering the previous year's projects, patents, number of publications, number of citations and the highest impact factors. Lecturers of the year award and the project of the year award were presented to the most successful faculty members and lecturers by Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk, Dean of the Faculty Prof. Dr. Semahat Küçükkolbaşı.
