Academicians from Bahri University visited Prof. Dr. Aksoy
Academicians from Sudan Bahri University came to Konya to benefit from Selcuk University's knowledge and experience. Academics who will receive training on plant and animal production, visited Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.
The academics of Sudan Bahri University working in the fields of agriculture and veterinary, was a guest of Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy. Stating that the cooperation to be made will bring great success for both countries, Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, “Sudan is precious to us. We know the situation of agricultural lands in Sudan. Established in 1975, Selçuk University is the oldest university in Konya. We have 23 faculties, 23 vocational schools, 5 colleges, 1 conservatory, and more than 50 research and application centers within our university. Konya is an agricultural city and the educational institution that makes the biggest contribution to this agricultural city is Selçuk University. Both our Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Veterinary Medicine are the locomotive of the region. Our international and national accreditations, our collaborations, joint activities with many countries reveal our knowledge and skills. I hope that in line with the cooperation, we will be able to produce joint working areas on behalf of both universities from now on.”
Selcuk University Faculty of Agriculture Dean Prof. Dr. Zeki Bayramoğlu said, “We have prepared a 10-day training program for academics from Bahri University. Company visits were planned for 5 days at the Faculty of Agriculture, 3 days at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and 2 days for the industry. As long as they are here, both statistical information and visual information activities will be carried out regarding the agricultural structure of Konya and Turkey. Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Haliloğlu said, “We will make them see our food production, farm, animal hospital and research and application laboratories. It is important that different academics from abroad visit our Faculty.”
