Another award to Selçuk University

The 5th Poster Design Competition for Young Art on "The Power of Art, Against Addiction" by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism has been concluded. Selcuk University (SU) Communication Faculty Advertising Department 3rd year student Seçkin Takmaz won the honorable mention.

Seçkin Takmaz, 3rd year student at Selcuk University, Faculty of Communication, Advertising Department, was chosen by the selection committee for her poster titled "Overcome Addiction, Reach Colors" in the 5th Poster Design Competition on Young Art: "The Power of Art, Against Addiction" organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He was entitled to receive honorable mention among 116 works.

In the competition, which emphasized the importance of living together with art by drawing attention to the negative effects of all kinds of addiction, a total of 80,000 TL was given to the winners of the works. In the competition where 116 poster designs, whose applications were accepted, were evaluated by the selection committee, 4 artists who were deemed worthy of the "achievement award" received a monetary award of 9 thousand TL, 4 artists who won the "honorable mention" received a monetary award of 5 thousand TL and 24 artists who were deemed worthy of exhibiting their works received a monetary award of 1000 TL.

In the selection committee, consisting of academicians who evaluated the designs that were deemed worthy of the award and to be exhibited, Prof. Dr. Ali Tomak, Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Cartoon and Animation Prof. Dr. Uğur Atan from the Department of Graphic Design, Faculty of Fine Arts, Süleyman Demirel University, Prof. Yusuf Keş from Atatürk University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Graphics, Assoc. Dr. Zafer Solimler and as the Ministry representative, Deputy General Director of Fine Arts Dr. Alper Ozkan took place.
