Thanks to the teams that showed success at TEKNOFEST from Rector Aksoy

Selcuk University (SU) Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy presented a certificate of achievement to the teams that achieved degrees at the Aviation, Space and Technology Festival TEKNOFEST 2022, which was held at Samsun-Çarşamba Airport under the direction of the Turkish Technology Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology.

Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy in the Senate Hall; SU Kapsül Hyperloop Team, Mint & Limon Team, MYS Sancak Team, SU Kapsül The Guardians of Heart Team, MYS Tuygun Team and BulaNut Team hosted.

At the ceremony where the certificate of achievement was given to the team members, SU Technology Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Şakir Taşdemir, SU Capsule Hyperloop Team Advisor Lect. See. Enes Yücel (Faculty of Technology), Mint & Lemon Team and BulaNut Team Consultant Dr. Instructor Member Murat Köklü (Faculty of Technology), MYS Sancak Team and MYS Tuygun Team Consultant Dr. Instructor Member Hakan Terzioğlu (Faculty of Technology), SU Kapsül The Guardians of Heart Team Advisor Prof. Dr. A certificate of appreciation was presented to İnci Kara (Faculty of Medicine).

Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, in his speech, said that they are pleased to be a partner in the excitement of TEKNOFEST. Expressing that they attach importance to raising generations that will add strength to Turkey's future, Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, “We want to pursue projects that have a core and have a word for these lands. As long as we do this, I hope we will be much more successful. We have no time to lose, we think we have spent too much time to lose. There is a great expectation when it comes to Turkey. When we see the martyrdoms in Kosovo, Skopje, Sarajevo, Kirkuk, Baghdad, and the memories left by our ancestors, we see that the expectations of the people in that region are in Turkey. While doing our job, we have to do it with great responsibility and with a different consciousness. They're waiting for you whether you like it or not."

Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that TEKNOFEST and similar competitions are an important step in raising young people. In this sense he said that he is proud to see that the graduates of Selçuk University have a profession in good conditions. Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that “As the Selcuk University family, we are behind you all the way. As in previous competitions, we will work with you in future competitions. We will win with you, we will lose together. We will share our successes and joys together. I would like to thank you very much for making us feel proud, especially by our supporting professors, and for reminding the name of Selçuk University on the chairs. We are proud of you. May God guide your way.”

The ceremony was ended by certificate of successpresentation of Rector Prof. Dr. Aksoy, Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken, Prof. Dr. Ilhan Ciftci, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat and General Secretary Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk to the teams and a certificate of appreciation to their advisors.

The ceremony was also attended by Konya Teknokent Chairman of the Board Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hamurcu.

TEKNOFEST ACHIEVEMENTS OF TEAMS

At TEKNOFEST Black Sea, held between August 30 and September 4, 2022, the SU Capsule Hyperloop Team won the first prize in the "Hyperloop Development Competition", and the Mint & Lemon Team won the first prize in the "Turkish Natural Language Processing Competition Free Category". The first prizes were given by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Mint & Lemon Team also won the “Best Presentation Award”.

MYS Sancak Team received the "Visual Design Award" in the "TÜBİTAK International Efficiency Challenge Electric Vehicle Races Electromobile Category" organized within the scope of TEKNOFEST.

SU Kapsül The Guardians of Heart Team ranked second in the "Technology Contest for the Benefit of Humanity, Health and First Aid Category".

MYS Tuygun Team was deemed worthy of the "Silver Performance Award" in the "International Free Duty UAV Competition".

SU Kapsül Hyperloop Team, “Technical Design Report Award” and “Technology Display Award” in “Hyperloop Development Category”; MYS Sancak Team won the "Promotion and Dissemination Award" in the "TÜBİTAK International Efficiency Challenge Electric Vehicle Races Hydromobile Category".

BulaNut Team was also deemed worthy of the "Incentive Award" in the "Food and Agriculture Category".
