Nurullah - Fatimatü'z-Zehra Eken Mosque opened at SU Campus

The opening ceremony of the "Nurullah - Fatimatü'z-Zehra Eken Mosque", built at Selcuk University Alaeddin Keykubat Campus, was held. The mosque, where 5 thousand people can pray at the same time, also has classrooms, a library and rest rooms.

The opening of Nurullah - Fatimatü'z-Zehra Eken Mosque, which was built by retired teacher Nurullah Eken, was held after the Friday prayer, with Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken, Dean of SU Faculty of Islamic Sciences Prof. Dr. Ramazan Altıntaş, Istanbul Provincial Mufti Prof. Dr. Safi Arpagus, Karatay District Mufti Musa İmamoğlu, Selçuklu District Mufti Bekir Derin. Some students and citizens also attended the ceremony. At the ceremony, a plaque of appreciation was presented to Nurullah Eken.

Dean of SU Faculty of Islamic Sciences Prof. Dr. Ramazan Altıntaş said, “The Nurullah - Fatimatü'z-Zehra Eken Mosque, built under the leadership of our philanthropist Nurullah Eken, is the second mosque of our Alaeddin Keykubat Campus. Its construction began in 2021 and was completed in a short time. The mosque, built in Ottoman architecture, will be the practice mosque of our Islamic Sciences Faculty. The construction of our faculty continues very close to the mosque. 5 thousand people can pray at the same time. The mosque has classrooms, a library, and rest rooms.”
