Selçuk University ranks 15th in Turkey in scientific publications and citations

EduRank, which evaluates many universities around the world based on their scientific publications and citations, announced the world university rankings for 2022.

Selçuk University ranked 15th in Turkiye and 294th among Asian universities in the "EduRank 2022" list. Evaluating 14 thousand 131 universities from 183 countries, EduRank analyzed 44 million 909 thousand 300 scientific publications and 1 billion 237 million 541 thousand 960 citations. As a result of the evaluation, it ranked universities in 246 research areas. Recognition outside academia and the popularity of graduates were also among the factors affecting the ranking.

In the survey, in which many universities were evaluated, Selçuk University ranked 180th in the world and 294th among Asian universities. Selçuk University ranked 15th in Türkiye.

According to the criteria of the evaluation organization, Selçuk University had 845 publications and 21 thousand 185 citations in 2019. In 2020, 978 publications and 26 thousand 831 citations were made at the University, and in 2021, one thousand 100 publications and 32 thousand 119 citations were reached.

According to the data of EduRank, the number of publications that meet the criteria has increased by more than 30 percent and the number of citations has increased by more than 50 percent in the last 2 years at Selçuk University.

Selçuk University ranked 3rd in machine learning, 7th in archaeology and artificial intelligence, 8th in environmental sciences and interior architecture.

The university ranked 9th in communication and public relations, 11th in medicine and chemistry, 12th in biology and 13th in psychology.
