Selçuk University students support search and rescue operations
Students from the Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management at Selçuk University Beyşehir Ali Akkanat School of Applied Sciences and the Civil Defense and Firefighting Program at Kadınhanı Faik İçil Vocational School are conducting search and rescue operations in the provinces affected by two earthquakes of magnitude 7.7 and 7.6 centered in Kahramanmaraş.
The students, who work in coordination with AFAD in the earthquake zone, make intense efforts to rescue those trapped under the rubble.
There are 10 students from Beyşehir Ali Akkanat School of Applied Sciences Department of Emergency Aid and Disaster Management and 10 students from Kadınhanı Faik İçil Vocational School Civil Defense and Firefighting Program. Assist. Abdullah Koca and nearly 80 students support search and rescue efforts as AFAD volunteers.
