Support for the Blood Donation Campaign from Selçuk University staff and students

Following the earthquakes that occurred in Kahramanmaraş and affected 10 provinces, the academic and administrative staff and students of Selçuk University, who did not leave the earthquake victims alone, went to the Turkish Red Crescent Blood Collection Unit in Alaeddin Keykubat Campus and supported the Blood Donation Campaign.

Academic and administrative staff and students of Selçuk University, which continues to send aid materials according to the needs in the earthquake region and started a cash aid campaign, went to the Turkish Red Crescent Blood Collection Unit in Alaeddin Keykubat Campus and filled out the form for blood donation. Those who met the appropriate conditions donated blood.

An average of 300 to 400 units are donated daily to the Turkish Red Crescent Konya Blood Donation Center. An average of 25 to 40 units of blood are donated daily to the Turkish Red Crescent Selçuk University Campus Blood Collection Unit. The blood collected in the unit where blood donations can be made between 09.00 - 18.00 on weekdays is sent to the Turkish Red Crescent Central Anatolia Regional Blood Center in Ankara. It is stated that it works as a blood analysis, stock and distribution center.

People who will donate blood must first follow the website www.kanver.org and obtain preliminary information about whether they have a condition that prevents blood donation, and then go to the centers. Thus, the busyness in blood centers will decrease; It is stated that the operation will be accelerated. It is noted that individuals who will donate blood must be healthy individuals between the ages of 18 and 65 and must go to the blood donation on a full stomach.
