The educational success of Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine was registered for the second time
Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine, which serves patients from surrounding provinces as well as Konya, was accredited for the second time by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs (TEPDAD) until 01.01.2028.
Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Yavuz Selvi made the opening speech of the program held in Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Term 1 Amphitheater and said: Accreditation is defined as an evaluation and external quality assurance process that measures whether the predetermined academic field-specific standards in a certain field are met by a higher education program and higher education institution.”
“PURPOSE OF ACCREDITATION: TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION”
President Prof. Dr. İskender Sayek also said, “We are not a supervisory organization. We act as an organization that guides and supports institutions on some issues. The purpose of accreditation in medical education is to improve the quality of education, to produce more qualified graduates, and to ensure quality development in service and field.”

Selcuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said: “Receiving such documents makes us proud. It is an honor for us to have our university's name mentioned with documents showing the quality of education. I would like to thank those who contributed to these studies. We care that the young people who will build our future are raised well and make better contributions to the future of this country. A student is the brand of the university.”
After the speeches, TEPDAD President Prof. Dr. İskender Sayek presented accreditation certificate to Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. Yavuz Selvi; and Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy presented a gift to Prof. Dr. Sayek.
