March 14 Robe Dressing and Award Ceremony was held at Selçuk University
Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Yavuz Selvi made the opening speech of the Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine 2022 - 2023 Academic Year 14 March Robe Giving and Award Ceremony held at Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center. Prof. Dr. Yavuz Selvi said: “Our doctors made preparations in the morning of the earthquake and set out immediately without thinking about the problems on the road and the aftershocks in the region. Our team of 35 people took over the hospital in Kahramanmaraş. We can get through these days by acting together, reproducing, and supporting each other again. “In order to become stronger again, we need to talk to each other more and share beauty.”

Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy emphasized that medicine is a profession dedicated to human health that can be practiced by those who can go through a difficult education and training process: “Our physicians mobilizes their knowledge and experience to help people live healthy lives by using medical technologies at the highest level. Thanks to their devoted work, millions of people regain their health every year. As Selçuk University, we keep health and training qualified healthcare personnel at the forefront of our agenda and do our best to provide the best to them at our University, where we train the healthcare professionals of the future.”
“OUR HEALTH WORKERS PERFORMED A HEROISM THAT WILL GO IN HISTORY”
Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said, “The pandemic process we are experiencing has once again shown us the importance of the devoted work and sacrifices of our healthcare professionals. The vital importance of healthcare personnel was once again revealed in the recent earthquake disaster we experienced. Our healthcare workers, who worked day and night, putting themselves at risk, showed heroism that will go down in history. We appreciate the sacrifices of healthcare personnel, from doctors to nurses. "On this occasion, we would like to express our gratitude to all our healthcare professionals on this beautiful day dedicated to them and wish them success in their work."
At the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were presented to the members of the Accreditation Self-Assessment Board, who worked devotedly in the process of accrediting the Faculty of Medicine for the second time by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Medical Education Programs (TEPDAD), and to the academicians who received the highest scores in international and national publications, papers and citations made in 2022 according to the D score calculations of the Faculty of Medicine, faculty members who received awards in various scientific activities in 2022, physicians who served voluntarily in the disaster area, 2022 term winners, and 2022 term 2 students' advisor faculty members who were ranked within the scope of Evidence-Based Medical Practices. At the ceremony, the faculty members who received the title of professor and associate professor in 2022 were given their robes.
