Selçuk University and KOP aim to improve the service quality in the animal hospital

Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy and Konya Plain Project (KOP) Regional Development Administration President Murat Karakoyunlu signed the Protocol on the Implementation of the "Clinical Training of the Veterinary Faculty Animal Hospital and Improving the Quality of Service for Rural Project" within the scope of the Agricultural Education and Publication Project of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Within the framework of the protocol, it is aimed to develop the educational infrastructure of the SU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine for one year and to reduce calf losses in the Animal Hospital Intensive Care Unit. In the protocol, which aims to provide practical training and health services with ultrasound in the rural areas of KOP, it is also planned to provide equal opportunities in education with the operating room camera system.

 

 

Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said that the sheep and cattle hospitals within the SU Faculty of Veterinary Medicine are among the strongest hospitals in Turkey. 

 

In this sense, Prof. Dr. Aksoy expressed his satisfaction with the continuation of the tradition of cooperation with the KOP Regional Development Administration. He said: “It is valuable that our academic friends are doing pioneering work. Konya Plain is a very important plain in terms of the number of both sheep and cattle. We have previously collaborated with the KOP Regional Development Administration on green campus, green energy, various pilot applications in our Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Technology. KOP – Selçuk University collaborations have a leading position. It can be applied as a model in other universities. We are very happy in this sense. Our Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Dean Prof. Dr. Seyfullah Haliloğlu said: I would like to thank Animal Hospital Chief Physician Prof. Dr.  Hüseyin Erdem and his team. The work of our teacher Hüseyin Erdem and our friends in our Animal Hospital is very valuable. We wish our protocol to be beneficial and auspicious.
