Rector Aksoy visited the Faculty of Agriculture laboratories
Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy visited the laboratories of the Faculty of Agriculture.
Rector Prof. Dr. Aksoy first visited the renovated Plant Physiology Laboratory and received information about the work carried out from Dean Prof. Dr. Sait Gezgin and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Hamurcu.
The laboratory was established to carry out physiological and agricultural researches in the field of plant physiology, stress physiology and agriculture under laboratory or field conditions. In the experimental studies in the water culture cabin, wheat (Triticum aestivum), beans (Phaseolus vulgaris), soybean (Glycine max), barley (Hordeum Vulgare), rye (Secale cereale), carrot (Daucus carota), cannabis (Cannabas), zucchini (Cucurbita pepo), watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) by applying different stress applications to plants such as barley (Hordeum Vulgare), rye (Secale cereale), carrot (Daucus carota), hemp (Cannabas), pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo), watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) are examined.
Rector Aksoy and the accompanying faculty members then examined the Biotechnology Laboratory and the preparation room and growth cabinets connected to the laboratory. Prof. Dr. Aksoy received information from Vice Dean Dr. Lecturer Osman Doğan, Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Eşref Hakkı, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Osman Doğan, Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Eşref Hakkı, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yorgancılar and PhD student Enes Yakışır.
Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tuğrul Polat, Secretary General Prof. Dr. Kamil Beşoluk and Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Prof. Dr. Ramazan Altıntaş accompanied the visit.
