Selçuk University student Bektaş became European Champion

Selcuk University Faculty of Sports Sciences, Department of Coaching Education 2nd year student, National Athlete Cansu Bektaş broke 3 European junior records and won 3 gold medals at the Senior European Weightlifting Championships in Armenia.

A total of 318 athletes from 40 countries, 172 of them women, are competing in the Senior European Weightlifting Championships.

National athlete Bektaş broke 3 European junior records in Yerevan, where she took the podium at 45 kg, with 72 in snatch, 90 in jerk and 162 kg in total. Bektaş, who succeeded in winning 3 gold medals at once, made the Turkish flag fly and had the Turkish National Anthem sung.
