Selcuk University won 6 medals
Turkey Interuniversity Taekwondo Championship (UNİLİG) was held in Bartın. Selcuk University Faculty of Sports Sciences students, who won a total of 6 medals in the championship, came second in Turkey as a team in the women's category.
Turkey University Sports Federation organized by the Federation of University Sports between 10-13 May 2023 hosted by Bartın University between May 2023 Interuniversity Taekwondo Turkey Championship was held at the Faculty of Sports Sciences Sports Hall.
132 male and 135 female athletes from 57 universities participated in the UNILIG Turkey Teakwondo Championship. Organized by the University Sports Federation of Turkey, 60 referees, 60 coaches and 55 administrators took part in the competitions. Selcuk University Faculty of Sports Sciences students Hira Nur Bayraktar ranked first in Turkey in 49 kilograms, Ayşe Aşıcı ranked third in Turkey in 46 kilograms, Saliha Küçüksolak ranked third in Turkey in 53 kilograms, Nisa Nur Uysal ranked third in Turkey in 57 kilograms, Selenay Güçlüefe ranked third in Turkey in 62 kilograms and Abdullah Dönmez ranked third in Turkey in 54 kilograms. Selcuk University Faculty of Sports Sciences students won the second place in Turkey as a team in the women's category.
The athletes who rank in the competitions held for 4 days in different categories will also qualify for the World Universities Games (FISU) to be held in Sichuan, China between July 20 and August 8.
