The opening of the 7th International Congress On Adhesive Dentistry was hosted by Selçuk University
In cooperation with Selçuk University Faculty of Dentistry, Turkish Society of Restorative Dentistry and Japanese Society of Adhesive Dentistry, the opening of the "International Congress of Adhesive Dentistry", one of the most prestigious congresses in the world, was held. In the 7th congress hosted by Selçuk University, expert faculty members from Türkiye, Japan, the United States, Belgium and Switzerland will discuss the current developments in the field between 1-3 June 2023.
Honorary President of the Congress, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said in his opening speech that the congress has a prestigious position in terms of sharing ideas, latest techniques and new concepts in the field of adhesive dentistry on an international level.
Expressing his pleasure for hosting an important congress, Prof. Dr. Aksoy noted that the University is the oldest and leading university in the region. Prof. Dr. Aksoy said, "Our Faculty of Dentistry stands out as one of the most important faculties of our University with its outstanding achievements in education and research. As one of the largest and most respected dental faculties in the region, our faculty continues to make significant contributions to the advancement of dental sciences and the care of patients. The Accessible Oral and Dental Health Unit of our university also fulfills an important social responsibility duty. We aim to improve the quality of life of all individuals by providing accessible oral and dental health services to every member of our society."
Congress President, Selçuk University Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics Lecturer Prof. Dr. Sema Belli stated that Selçuk University has made a name for itself in the field of adhesive dentistry in the world. Stating that they have been cooperating with 5 Japanese companies for about 20 years, Prof. Dr. Belli added that these companies have made significant contributions to the organization of the congress.
Prof. Dr. Esra Can, President of the Turkish Society of Restorative Dentistry, thanked the scientific organization team and wished the congress to be successful.
Dr. Toru Nikaido, President of the Japanese Adhesive Dentistry Association, stated that they came together in an important program and wished the congress to be successful and enjoyable.
Guest of Honor Dr. Junji Tagami stated that International Adhesive Dentistry Congresses make important contributions to the development of the field.
In the congress with approximately 600 participants, 150 papers will be presented.
Within the scope of the congress, a science and art-themed painting exhibition was also presented to art lovers.
