'Personal Painting Exhibition' met with art lovers at Selçuk University

Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Painting Dr. Lecturer. "Personal Painting Exhibition" prepared by Hafize Pektaş met with art lovers within the scope of the 100th anniversary of the Republic.

The opening of the exhibition, which included figurative and still life works made with acrylic on canvas at the Faculty of Fine Arts Art Gallery, was attended by Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Atıf Polat, Vice Dean Prof. Dr. Birsen Limon, faculty members, students and art lovers.

 In his speech at the opening, Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Atıf Polat thanked Pektaş for his efforts in organizing the exhibition and the art lovers who attended the opening.

Department of Painting  Assist. Prof. Dr. Hafize Pektaş stated that the happiest feeling for a teacher is to see their students grow up. Noting that it is valuable for students to surpass their teachers in terms of equipment for the development of society, Pektaş said, "I have many students who have received the title of professor at our university. I am proud of this, thank you very much for participating. I love figurative work in my works because I have drawn and had drawn fashion figures for about 30 years. In my works, I dealt with the issues of communication and miscommunication in human relations. On the other hand, with a formalist approach, I worked still lifes not as in nature, but with my own fiction and arrangements."  

The exhibition of 30 works can be visited until October 31, 2023.
