'Don't be insensitive to climate crisis and natural disasters' project at Selçuk University

The closing program of the project "Don't be insensitive to Climate Crisis and Natural Disasters" prepared within the scope of Erasmus+ KA220-SCH - Cooperation Partnerships in School Eduation and supported by the European Union was held at Selçuk University Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory, one of the project partners.

Speaking at the program, which started with a singing recital, Selçuk University Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory Director Prof. Dr. Dilek Zerenler said, "The project "Being Insensitive to Climate Crisis and Natural Disasters" is a national education-oriented project. The project partners in Turkey are Selçuk University Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory and İskenderun Cumhuriyet Anatolian High School. Other partners are France, Poland, Spain, Italy, Romania. How can we explain the climate crisis to the new generation? This is what we focused on in the project. We said let's use art for this.

We wrote play texts and made short films to increase the sensitivity of the new generation to the natural crises experienced in the regions we visited. We asked some stimulating questions in the countries we visited in order to find answers to questions such as "Do children in the 14 - 18 age group have information about the climate crisis, or is it a subject they pass by without dwelling on?" We tried to create our own play text in line with the answers to these questions. 

At the end of the program, the activities carried out so far within the scope of the project were explained and a short film about the project was watched.
