'Mixed Exhibition of Turkish - Islamic Book Arts in the Turkish Century' met with art lovers

"Mixed Exhibition of Turkish-Islamic Book Arts in the Turkish Century" prepared by Selçuk University Faculty of Islamic Sciences within the scope of 100 Events in the 100th Year of the Republic met with art lovers.

Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Prof. Dr. Ramazan Altıntaş, Dean of the Faculty of Science Prof. Dr. Semahat Küçükkolbaşı, Vice Deans of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Assoc. Prof. Dr. İsmail Yalçın, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Şeyma Boydak, faculty members, art lovers and students attended the opening of the exhibition held in the Faculty Foyer Area.

At the opening of the exhibition, Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Prof. Dr. Ramazan Altıntaş said: "On the occasion of the Turkish Century, we have come together for the opening of the Turkish-Islamic Book Arts Mixed Exhibition prepared by our Faculty with the efforts of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Şeyma Boydak. We will see many works in the field of Islamic arts exhibited in our exhibition. I would like to thank those who contributed to the organization of the exhibition. We ask Almighty Allah to increase this interest and these beauties."

Assistant Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatma Şeyma Boydak said, "Many of our professors and artists are participating in our exhibition with their works. We have brought together an exhibition that includes book arts, which we call book arts and which have developed due to the respect and love for the Holy Qur'an. We expect all art lovers to visit an exhibition consisting of approximately 20 works, where we can see all the works we call book arts from Hüsnühattan to illumination, from miniature to binding, to ebru. I thank you for your participation."

The exhibition can be visited until October 25, 2023.
