Republic Day was celebrated with enthusiasm at Selçuk University
Selcuk University Faculty of Health Sciences Nasreddin Hodja Application Kindergarten organized the 29 October Republic Day Celebration Program within the scope of 100 Events in the 100th Year of our Republic.
The opening speech of the program held at Sultan Alparslan Cultural Center was made by Nasreddin Hodja Application Kindergarten Director Dr. Cemil Paslı. Dr. Paslı said, "Our Republic, which has become a plane tree, which we celebrate its 100th anniversary, was founded on the foundations of love for the child, trust in the young and respect for the elderly."
Prof. Dr. Emine Arslan, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, said: "The Republic is the most sacred treasure that we all need to preserve and protect in order to live and continue to exist in an environment of peace, tranquility and brotherhood, so that this sacred land watered with the blood of our martyrs is never touched by enemies again."
Emphasizing that Turkey is now an influential country with a voice in the world, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken said: "We have now become capable of producing our own airplanes, helicopters, high-speed trains, warships and vehicles. We will work with all our strength to take our Republic even further. We will act in accordance with Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk's principle: 'The one who loves his homeland the most is the one who works the hardest'."
After the speeches, the program ended with the singing of the song "Forever Forever", the song and poem performance of the Shining Stars Class called "Republic", the song performance of the Golden Beads Class called "Republic Means Freedom", the song performances of the Curious Scholars Class called "Republic is Freedom" and "My Flag with the Moon Star", and the song performance of the Smart Little Ones Class called "Children of Atatürk".
