'Preeclampsia and Eclampsia Management Course with Simulation Training' started at Selçuk University

A course for midwives was organized within the framework of the project titled "Preeclampsia and Eclampsia Management with Simulation Training", which was prepared under the leadership of Selçuk Universit Faculty of Health Sciences Lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hacer Alan Dikmen and supported by TÜBİTAK 2237-A Scientific Training Activities Support Program.

At the opening of the course held at Selçuk Ecza Simulation Unit, Project Coordinator and Vice Head of the Department of Midwifery, Faculty of Health Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hacer Alan Dikmen said, "Hypertensive disorders during pregnancy are among the top causes of maternal mortality. It even ranks second after bleeding. There is an increasing simulation training both in the world and in our country. Our center was completed and established about a year ago with the support of our teacher Sema. For a year, we have been actively continuing our trainings for graduate midwives. Our aim is to reach more midwives. We receive very good feedback on this issue. We have many friends who want to participate. Hopefully, we plan to further develop our trainings and activities in the coming processes."

Stating that the course will be given by expert faculty members in the field, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dikmen added that the course program is valuable for midwives working in the field to gain experience.

The course, attended by 16 trainees, will end on November 10, 2023.
