1/23/2025 Coordinatorship of Corporate Communication

Selçuk University Mevlana Research Institute and Faculty of Islamic Sciences organised a conference titled 'Love's Badr State' from Hz. Mevlana to Şeyh Galib within the scope of Hz. Mevlana's 750th Vuslat Anniversary International Commemoration Ceremonies.

The conference was held in the Conference Hall of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences and the speaker of the conference was Institute of Turkiat Studies Dr. Lecturer Mustafa Çipan. Prof. Mustafa Çipan said, "For poets who understand the wisdom of beauty and are aware of the glories bestowed by love, love is the object that gives wisdom to the word. Poets watch the universal realm through the window of love and vocalise it with the language of poetry that appeals to the heart. The schools, jurisprudence and artefacts that come into being in time and space and maintain their existence are based on spiritual power and art. The sultans of the spiritual world such as Hoca Ahmet Yesevi, Shah Nakshband, Hacı Bektaş-ı Veli and Mevlana, and artists such as Mimar Sinan, Şeyh Galib, Dede Efendi, Mustafa Rakım, Aziz Dede, Tanburi Cemil Bey open the roads, and others mature by walking on these routes."

Stating that Sheikh Galib, who had works such as Divan and Hüsn ü Aşk and left his mark on the 18th century, completed his ordeal in Yenikapı Mevlevi Lodge in Istanbul, where Ali Nutki Dede was the sheikh, Çipan said, "He was a decent and dignified sincerity, Sheikh Galib, the literary epitome of a noble spirit, a mature contemplation and an extremely meticulous artisan, the last link of the chain in the classical tradition, the last great master of Sebk-i Hindi, represented and developed by Na'ili and Neşati. He is the first and the greatest poet who turned the mücerredi into a school in Turkish literature."

Dean of the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Prof. Dr. Ramazan Altıntaş, Director of Mevlana Research Institute Dr. Lecturer. Prof. Dr. Sami Bayrakcı, academicians and students attended the conference.
