Rector of Selçuk University Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy attended the "Şebiarus Ceremony" held within the scope of the International Commemoration of the 750th Vuslat Anniversary of Hz. Mevlana with the presence of the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş and Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy.

The International Commemoration Ceremonies for the 750th Vuslat Anniversary of Hz. Mevlana, which was held this year with the theme "Time for Vuslat", ended with the "Shebiarus" program. President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Numan Kurtulmuş, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Governor of Konya Vahdettin Özkan, AK Party Group Deputy Chairman and Ankara Deputy Leyla Şahin Usta, AK Party Deputies of Konya, Konya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Uğur İbrahim Altay, Selçuk University Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy, district mayors, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Abdüssettar Yarar, district mayors, General Director of State Theaters Tamer Karadağlı, many local and foreign guests and citizens attended the "Şebiarus" program held at Mevlana Cultural Center.

Delivering the opening speech of the program, Mayor of Konya Metropolitan Municipality Uğur İbrahim Altay said, "Today we are together to light a light in the depths of our hearts and to remember the legacy of His Holiness Mevlana as a guide in the search for peace in our world. Hazrat Mevlana was not only a dervish, a poet or a scholar. He was a guide and a source of light for all humanity. Hz. Mevlana, who advised that love is the most powerful weapon that can destroy hatred and separation, continues to shed light on humanity in today's world full of chaos and separation. Hz, Pir's 'The waves of peace remove the dirt of the heart. Love draws pain to sweetness. And the essence of love is to go on the path of truth." We should all listen to his words. We must unite our hopes and hearts and make our world a place where justice and goodness prevail. I hope and believe that it will be possible to build a world full of peace, which is molded with the teachings of Hz. Mevlana, by striving together. On this occasion, I wish that the climate of peace will prevail in the whole world, especially in the Palestinian territories, that the suffering of the oppressed will end and the oppression of the oppressors will come to an end. I commemorate Hz. Pir, who has guided all humanity for centuries like a sun radiating from our Konya, with mercy and gratitude on the 750th anniversary of his passing away."

Governor of Konya Vahdettin Özkan said, "Hz. Mevlana is a very important source, a treasure that feeds Turkish lore life with the tradition he created. This source has formed the path of wisdom with a spiritual line extending from Anatolia to Rumelia. The Prophet embraced all humanity and was deeply appreciated by all humanity. His works enable us to see unity in multiplicity, to see multiplicity in unity and to see the artist in art. Hz. Pir's interpretations engrave tawhid and the order in the universe in the minds. Hz. Mevlana left a deep impact on art, elegance and literature. At the same time, he expressed the morality of our civilization in the most succinct way. The great thinker who shed light on humanity for all times, Hz. Mevlana showed the path of perfection to all humanity based on fıtrat. This year, in the commemoration ceremonies of Mevlana Celalettin-i Rumi, we will stay away from ambition and injustice by saying 'time for vuslat'. With these feelings, I commemorate Hazrat Pir with mercy on the 750th anniversary of his vuslat in the '2023 Mevlana Year' declared with the blessings of Mr. President. I wish a world where peace and justice are re-established in our geography, especially in Jerusalem next to us, and where the unity and peace in Hz. Mevlana's description of tawhid and love are re-embodied."

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy said, "Today, I once again commemorate Mevlana Celaleddin-i Rumi with feelings of gratitude, who taught not only this land but also the whole world to know the human being, to love the creator, and showed that the way to the Creator is through friendship and brotherhood. When talking about His Holiness Mevlana, it is necessary to talk first and almost only about love. The basis of his monumental work Masnavi is love. Loving nature, loving those in nature, looking at people with affection, being filled with the love of Allah, all these are the milestones of Mevlana's heart map. Today, we once again observe how valuable and important it is that Hz. Mevlana devoted his life to love, affection and love. As it is known, Israel's oppressive and occupying policies, which have been going on for years, have moved to a new dimension, to the dimension of genocide since October 7. A human tragedy is taking place in Palestine, especially in Gaza. These events reveal the accuracy of Mevlana's efforts, which he has presented to the attention with the most exemplary stories and the most eloquent narratives, to live in brotherhood, to respect the right and the law, and to do all of these with mutual affection.  As Turkey, we will continue to object to injustices all over the world. Our determination not to deviate from the line of justice and equity, our stance against oppression and injustice will continue. We will continue our efforts to remember Mevlana Jalaluddin-i Rumi's loving teaching more often, to remember and spread it, to spread it and make it applicable. On the 750th anniversary of his death, we remember His Holiness Mevlana with mercy, gratitude and thanksgiving. May Almighty Allah make our unity, togetherness and love perpetual."

Expressing his pleasure to be in Konya for the 750th anniversary of Hz. Mevlana, Numan Kurtulmuş, the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, said: "In spite of those who today create a hierarchy by separating people according to their colors and races, Hz. Mevlana and the tradition and school of wisdom he had, teach us to see people as Hz. Human. We remind those who leave no stone unturned and no head unturned in Palestine that during the time of Hazrat Mevlana, there was a Mongol invasion in all these geographies, especially in Anatolia, similar to today's massacres and murderers. For God's sake, which one of you is mentioning the name of one of the Mongols? But all humanity knows, knows, understands and continues to remember Hazrat Mevlana who taught humanity, conscience, morality and virtue against the Mongols. We learned peace, brotherhood and friendship from Hazrat Mevlana. If anyone says, "What does Jerusalem have to do with us?" we have a lot to say to them. The Mujâhidîn-i Mevleviyye Regiment is one of the most important regiments defending Jerusalem. The Jerusalem front was not alone yesterday and will not be alone today.  I commemorate Hazrat Mevlana, who taught humanity, conscience, morality and virtue in all these geographies, especially in Anatolia."

Following the protocol speeches, the Istanbul Historical Turkish Music Ensemble of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism gave a Sufi music concert by singer Ahmet Özhan. Then the Konya Turkish Sufi Music Ensemble performed a whirling dervish show.
