UNIKOP Strategic Planning Committee came together in Konya

The Strategic Planning Board of the Union of Universities of the KOP Region (UNİKOP) came together in a meeting held in Konya.

Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken and Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Sait Gezgin attended the meeting, which was attended by the vice-rectors of 12 universities affiliated to UNIKOP and representatives of the KOP Regional Development Administration.

In the meeting held under the chairmanship of Yozgat Bozok University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Güngör Yılmaz, the results of the 10th KOP Regional Development Symposium held in Yozgat were evaluated. In the meeting where the project approaches and expectations of the KOP Regional Development Administration for regional development were discussed, the cooperation grounds between universities, contact points and the potentials of achieving together were discussed.

The meeting also discussed how natural resources, biological opportunities, agriculture, industry, trade, tourism and sociocultural values can contribute to the development of the region and the country through projects.

One of the important decisions taken was that each university will form working groups to produce projects within its own structure and a new meeting will be organized in the first week of March 2024 through these groups.
