International conference, workshop and exhibition at Selcuk University
International Conference, Workshop and Exhibition - ATAV 2023 (International Conference, Workshop and Exhibition Event) hosted by Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts has started. The event includes a conference, workshop and group exhibition with 15 participants.
The opening of the event held at Selçuk University Museum was held in cooperation with the Faculty of Communication, Faculty of Architecture and Design, Dilek Sabancı State Conservatory under the coordination of Selçuk University Faculty of Fine Arts, Project Development and Management Application and Research Centre and External Relations Coordination.
Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Emrullah Eken, in his speech at the opening ceremony, expressed his pleasure to come together in an international event and thanked those who contributed to the organisation of the event. "Hz. Mevlana is our common denominator." Prof. Dr. Eken said, "It was a great source of happiness for us to be with you at such a beautiful time and place. In the event, our esteemed professors from Tunisia will present their academic knowledge in different fields such as video art, design, digital and plastic arts, children's literature, handicrafts in the field of fine arts. I wish that the event will build a strong bridge between our country and Tunisia. I hope that the events will be beneficial to our country, Tunisia and the whole world."
Prof. Dr. Recai Kuş, Director of Selçuk University Project Development and Management Application and Research Centre, said that the event included conference papers, exhibitions and workshops in the fields of graphic design, plastic arts, ceramics, cartoons, animation, industrial design, painting, interior architecture, photography, landscape architecture and advertising. Stating that the event was supported by the University of Tunisia, Sousse University, Monastery University, Carthage University, Sfax University, La Manouba University, Carthage Academy of Arts, Tunisian Fine Arts Association, Prof. Dr. Kuş said, "Today, we are together with Tunisians, with whom we are blood brothers in history, thanks to the power of art. Our wish is that such meetings within the framework of brotherhood and friendship turn into big projects and continue in Turkey and Tunisia."
Dr Wissem Abdelmoula, President of ATAV and Lecturer at Tunis University, expressed his pleasure to be present in Konya and Selçuk University for the second time in an important event and wished the event to be successful and productive.
After the speeches, the exhibition consisting of ceramics, painting, photography, video art and mixed media works prepared by lecturers and students who contributed to ATAV 2023 was opened.
