Exhibition opened at Selcuk University Faculty of Medicine
Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Community Mental Health Centre opened an exhibition titled "Hello to a New Year with Love and Solidarity" with the support of Selçuklu Public Education Centre. The exhibition, prepared by the handicraft of the patients undergoing treatment, can be seen in the hospital building for 3 days.
Stating that the Community Mental Health Centre can be defined as a day hospital for schizophrenia patients with psychiatric disorders and is a rehabilitation centre, Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Mental Health and Diseases Faculty Member and Community Mental Health Centre Responsible Physician Assoc. Prof. Dr. Memduha Aydın said, "We carry out studies to ensure the rehabilitation of patients in the presence of us through teachers assigned by the Public Education Centre. In this context, various activities are carried out to improve fine motor skills with artistic activities such as handicrafts, painting, music, rhythm."
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Aydın said, "For our patients receiving treatment in the Community Mental Health Centre, culinary studies are carried out and hygiene rules are taught. Our teachers, who are assigned to the Community Mental Health Centre by the Public Education Centre, start working with our patients after receiving training on diseases and diseases. In certain periods of the year, the work done is exhibited."
The exhibition, which includes clothes, accessories, jewellery, oil paintings and souvenirs for children and adults, will remain open for 3 days.
