Rector Aksoy met with the Board of Directors and Advisory Board of the Faculty of Medicine Hospital

Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital (Health Application and Research Centre Directorate) 14th Ordinary Board of Directors Meeting and 12th Ordinary Advisory Board Meeting of Health Application and Research Centre were held under the chairmanship of Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy.

In his speech, Rector of Selçuk University Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy said that as a result of the evaluations made by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) within the scope of the "Research-Oriented Specialisation Project", the University regained the status of "Candidate Research University". In this sense, Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that they are working to bring the University to stronger and more successful points and said, "We take care to support the work of our academicians. We strive for the efficient use of the resources we provide through BAP for scientific and infrastructure studies. We aim for our university to compete with the global world with a universal perspective and to transform into a centre of attraction."

Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that the Faculty of Medicine Hospital and the Faculty of Medicine within the University are among the important units that provide education to future physicians with scientific activities as well as hospital identity within the scope of community-oriented studies. Prof. Dr. Aksoy stated that they are happy that the hospital and the Faculty are getting better day by day and said, "This is the work of all of us. I would like to thank all our friends who contribute to the process and work day and night. Certain achievements come out with sacrifice. In financial terms, we can observe that there have been increases in income rates, the number of surgeries and the number of academic staff. Significant changes have also been achieved especially in the modernisation of various devices of the university. With the studies in this direction, both the improvement of physical conditions and the renewal of the devices, the process of strengthening the infrastructure has emerged. I follow the developments with happiness, because we had the goal of moving to better places, much better positions than the point we took. We have started to achieve this goal to a great extent."

             "OUR HOSPITAL HAS REACHED A FINANCIALLY MANAGEABLE LEVEL"

Rector Prof. Dr. Metin Aksoy stated that they have brought Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital to a financially manageable level and that they have achieved a debt-free hospital as of 1 December 2023.

Prof. Dr. Mustafa Koplay, Chief Physician of the Faculty of Medicine Hospital, made a presentation on health presentation statistics, personnel status, financial status, hospital building analysis reports and 2024 plans.

Faculty of Medicine Hospital Deputy Chief Physician Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burcu Yormaz made a presentation on the re-evaluation of the meeting topics held in 2022, academic bureau 2022 - 2023 monthly / annual activity report, veterans and martyrs' relatives 2021 - 2022 - 2023 monthly / annual activity report, hospital statistics, applied course student distributions.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. İlhan Çiftci, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Prof. Dr. Yavuz Selvi, Selçuk University Faculty of Medicine Hospital Board of Directors and Advisory Board members attended the meetings.
