Turkey has about 42 million ha of areas farming areas. 14.6 million hectares of these areas use meadow and pasture, and 2.7 million hectares of the region cultivated forage crops. About 67 million sheep, goats, cattle, and horses, except a wild animal, feed on meadow, pasture, and forage crops areas. In addition, Turkey has about 15.5 million ha of plant production areas similar to meadow, pasture, and forage crops areas. Therefore, the division of meadow, pasture, and forage crops have importance in Turkey’s agriculture. Furthermore, this division is gained to undergraduate and graduate-level theoretical and practical knowledge to introduce forage crops and resources, growing and breeding about current and future sustainable projects in these areas.
