In accordance with the decision of the Council of Ministers of the School of Health, published in the Official Gazette dated 02.11.1996 and numbered 22805, the necessary conditions for the start of education of the Akşehir Health School, which was accepted to be established within the body of Selçuk University, but could not be opened before due to the lack of physical conditions, were provided in the 2006-2007 education period. The establishment of the Selcuk University Rectorate in Akşehir Health School, the opening of a Nursing Department, and the admission of 40 students in the 2006-2007 academic year were examined at the Higher Education General Assembly Meeting dated 13/04/2006 and with the Article 7/h amended by the Law No. 2880 of the Law No. 2547 and No. 2809. 6 of the Law. In accordance with the Article, the proposal in question was approved. In the 2006-2007 academic year, the Nursing Program took 41 students and started its undergraduate education in the Municipality building of Akşehir Municipality, which was allocated to our School. Since October 27, 2008, education continues in its new building, which was built by the businessman from Akşehir, Mr. Kadir Yallagöz. Nursing program will be carried out in Akşehir Health School, Akşehir State Hospital, Selçuk University Selçuklu Faculty of Medicine, Health Centers, Nursing Home, Rehabilitation Centers, Special Education Schools. The aim of the program is to be sensitive to all kinds of developments and changes that may affect people and human health in daily life, and to consider these in the service they provide, and to determine the nursing care needs of healthy or sick individuals in every environment. In order to meet these requirements at the level of professional standards, they will be able to plan, implement and evaluate the nursing care, as well as fulfill their roles and functions as an active and effective member of the health team.

To be a leading college in our country, which is proud to be a member of in national environments, and which will contribute to the rise of modern civilization with the education it will provide, the knowledge and technology it will produce. Our goal is to open physiotherapy and midwifery departments and make our college a faculty of health sciences.
