Accepted students should go to the nearest Turkish consulates and apply for "Student Visa". A list of Turkey's overseas representations can be found at the following link:
https://www.mfa.gov.tr/yurtdisi-teskilati.tr.mfa
The following documents are required for student visa applications:
- Placement Certificate given by Selcuk University,
- Passport valid for at least one year,
- 2 shots (3x4 photos),
- A document showing that the student has the financial means to make a living during his education in Turkey (such as a scholarship receipt, bank statement),
- Consent from parents of candidates under the age of 18
- Payment of visa fee.
However, the representative office may also make some additional requests. Each student must contact their representative office to learn about the exact conditions in his/her student visa application.
After obtaining a student visa, students who enter Turkey with this visa must first complete their registration at Selcuk University and then apply for a residence permit. It is not recommended to leave Turkey without a residence permit.
